Email deliverability is not a switch an email platform can turn on. It depends on sending reputation, recipient expectations, authentication, list quality and the receiving provider’s filtering. Good habits reduce avoidable problems, but no platform can guarantee inbox placement.

Start with permission and list quality

Send to people who knowingly signed up for the kind of messages you send. Keep the source and date of sign-up, honour unsubscribes promptly and remove addresses that repeatedly bounce. Purchased or scraped lists can create complaints and harm sender reputation.

A clean list is more than a low bounce rate. Make sure the content matches the signup promise and that inactive subscribers are handled thoughtfully rather than repeatedly mailed without a plan.

Set up your sending identity

Use a domain you control and follow the email provider’s current instructions for sender authentication, such as SPF, DKIM and DMARC records where applicable. DNS changes can take time to propagate and must be configured carefully; the exact records are specific to your domain and service.

Avoid sudden unexplained volume spikes. If you are moving from another platform or starting a new sending domain, follow current guidance from the provider and relevant mailbox services rather than improvising a warm-up schedule.

Use platform tools as signals, not guarantees

Review bounces, complaints, unsubscribes and campaign engagement. A campaign showing “sent” only means the provider accepted the send job; it does not prove the email landed in the inbox. MailerLite’s help centre is the right place to check its current deliverability tools and sending requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Can MailerLite guarantee inbox delivery?

No email service can guarantee every message will reach the inbox. Deliverability depends on sender practices, authentication, recipient engagement and mailbox-provider filtering.

Should I buy an email list?

Buying or scraping lists creates legal, trust and deliverability risks. Build a list through clear, permission-based sign-ups and follow applicable marketing rules.

What do SPF, DKIM and DMARC do?

They are domain-based email authentication mechanisms that help receiving systems evaluate messages claiming to come from your domain. Follow current provider and domain-host instructions for setup.
